He has contributed to the co-design of control, sensing, and communication algorithms for mobile sensing agents that collect information to model spatial temporal stochastic fields. He is currently serving as the co-chair for the IEEE RAS Technical Committee on Marine Robotics and is the associate editor for IEEE Journal of Oceanic Engineering, Robotics and Automation Letters, IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, and IEEE Transactions on Control of Networked Systems. He also serves as the deputy editor-in-chief for the Cyber-Physical Systems Journal.Prof. Guimin Chen, Xi'an Jiaotong University, ChinaDirector of Institute of robotics and intelligent systems, Xi'an Jiaotong University, associate editor of ASME J. mech. Robot. His main research fields include bionic biped robot, rigid flexible soft composite manipulator, soft robot, flexible deburring, grinding and polishing machinery, compliant mechanism, folding and deployable mechanism, etc.Assoc. Prof. Cheng Siong Chin, Newcastle University in Singapore campus, SingaporeHe is currently a Reader (Associate Professor) in Intelligent Systems Design with Newcastle University in Singapore and Adjunct Full Professor to Chongqing University, School of Automotive Engineering. He has achieved over 100 publications, 7 books (by IET, CRC Press, Springer and others) and 3 US Patents. His research interests include the design and simulation of complex systems for an uncertain environment.
