    3rd International Conference on Intelligent Manufacturing and Intelligent Materials (2IM 2021) will be held in Xi'an, China during Oct. 15-17, 2021. 2IM 2021 is organized by Hong Kong Society of Mechanical Engineers (HKSME), technically sponsored by Swinburne University of Technology. The conference is an international forum for the presentation of technological advances and research results in the fields of Intelligent Manufacturing and Intelligent Materials. We warmly welcome prospective authors to submit your research papers to 2IM 2021, and share your latest research results and valuable experiences with other top-scientists, engineers and scholars from all over the world.

    All the registered and presented papers on material topics will be published in Conference Proceeding (online publishing) , which will be submitted to Engineering Village, Scopus, Thomson Reuters (WoS) and other databases for review and indexing.

    Professor, School of mechanical engineering and automation, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, doctoral supervisor, German Humboldt fund winner, Xie Jiong, deputy director of youth working committee of China Society of mechanical engineering and plastic engineering. The main research fields include: fluid medium flexible forming technology: sheet hydroforming technology, tube hydroforming technology, hot medium hydroforming technology; High energy rate forming technology: impact hydroforming technology, electromagnetic forming technology; Cold isostatic pressing / hot isostatic pressing, isostatic pressing and ultra high pressure and ultra high temperature forming technologies; Digital technology, etc.

    Prof. Xuexi Zhang, Harbin Institute of Technology, China

    Professor, School of materials science and engineering, Harbin Institute of technology. The main research areas include new shape memory alloys and their composites, high-performance structural and functional composites, functional foam materials, ferromagnetic shape memory alloys, metal matrix composites, etc.

    Prof. Weimin Huang, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore

    Dr. WeiMin Huang is currently an Associate Professor (tenured) at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. With over 20 years of experience on various shape memory materials (alloy, polymer, composite and hybrid), he has published over 180 papers in journals, such as Accounts of Chemical Research, Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews, and Materials Today, and has been invited to review manuscripts from over 250 international journals (including Progress in Polymer Science, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, and Advanced Functional Material, etc), project proposals from American Chemical Society, Hong Kong Research Grants Council, etc, and book proposals from Springer, CRC and Elsevier.

    Prof. Baohua Jia, Swinburne University of Technology, Australia

    Baohua Jia is a full Professor, Founding Director of Centre for Translational Atomaterials and Research Leader at Swinburne University of Technology. She is now the Program Leader of Future Manufacturing Institution and the Head of Laser and Nanomaterial Interaction (LNI) Group.She is also holding the adjunct professorship in a number of world-leading Universities. Professor Jia is the President of Australia-China Advanced Materials and Manufacture Association (ACAMMA) and an elected Fellow of Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.

    Prof. Bin Niu, Dalian University of Technology, China

    Professor and doctoral supervisor of the College of mechanical engineering, Dalian University of technology. Member of International Institute of structural and multidisciplinary optimization (ISSMO), member of China composite society. The research mainly focuses on the integration of material structure and function design and manufacture, dynamic topology optimization, composite structure and other aspects.
