The TrainHR Course is approved by HRCI and SHRM Recertification Provider.Overview:Physical Demands Assessments are typically used as part of the Return to Work process, as employers attempt to match employee abilities to the physical requirements of jobs within the workplace to successfully return staff to work. The problem? This makes a PDA a reactive tool, always used when reacting to an injury. But a PDA can do a lot more! This webinar will first discuss what elements you need in your document to ensure your PDA is robust enough to be a multi-purpose tool. Secondly, we will explore how to take this predominantly reactive tool and start to use it in more proactive ways such as hazard identification, risk evaluation, improved case management, training and even hiring practices. Why should you Attend:MSDs account for >33% of workplace injuries in North America, an estimated 1/3 of days away from work cases and on average, employees with an MSD injury take more days off from work that those with other types of workplace injuries and illnesses. As a result, the costs associated with these types of injuries are staggering, estimated between 15 and 22 billion annually in the USA and Canada making MSDs one of the costliest medical conditions in North America.
