    Call For Papers - CFP

eir impact on community revitalization. Our past events have been attended by representatives from government, higher education, professional organizations, and laboratories, as well as attorneys, developers, contractors, and consultants.

This year’s theme is “BUILD”ing SUSTAINABLE REDEVELOPMENT: GETTING IN THE OPPORTUNITY ZONE” because new laws invite more investment in brownfields and distressed communities. NSCW is like no other conference you’ve attended. PowerPoint presentations are sparse and image-only; speakers are concise, yet informative; and, there is plenty of time in each session for dialogue between attendees, speakers, and moderators. Due to BCONE’s unique regional nature, panels include speakers from different states and municipalities so that information is shared across geographic lines. Come be a part of the conversation!

The NSCW 2019 Planning Committee is particularly interested in the following topics, but encourage new, timely and exciting topics:

The BUILD Act - Federal Funding & BFPP Changes

    Opportunity Zones & Opportunity Funds

P3- Public-Private Partnerships & Interagency Collaboration, Leveraging & Innovative Financing

Environmental Law, Politics and Policies, Insurance, Funding, Financing, and Technology

    Emerging Contaminants and Vapor Intrusion

Urban Watersheds, Stormwater, and Green/Gray Sustainable Infrastructure

Brownfield Success Projects and Innovative Approaches

Smart Growth Development and Alternative Energy

Coastal Resiliency, Sea Level Rise, and Waterfront (Re)Development & Waterways

Climate Resiliency (insurance, legal, financial, community planning & structural issues)

    Community Engagement

    Soil Management/Disposal and Alternative Fill
