Call For Papers - CFP

The International Congress on Visual Culture is an itinerant event held annually in universities of the world's major cities, in the five continents. In 2017 the congress was held in Universitat Abat Oliba CEU (Barcelona, Spain); in 2015 at the University of California in Berkeley (Berkeley, USA); and in 2014, at the Freie Universitat Berlin (Berlin, Germany). It is an event that contributes to the exchange of ideas and good practices through the promotion of disciplinary, national, cultural, ethnic and linguistic diversity.

The Congress is a forum for academics focused on the crucial challenges faced by audiovisual communication, the imaging world and the cultural and creative industries in today's world, bringing together local and global perspectives.

We invite all those who wish to submit a proposal to present their work, be it a lecture, workshop, round table, poster or colloquium addressing visual culture through some of the following topics:

Theme 2: Visual Culture

Theme 3: History and Philosophy of Visual

Theme 4: The Industry of Image
