    Nuremberg August 22, 2017

The thematic focus for the bilingual conference concentrates on User Stories, Technologies and Projects. In particular, there are lectures with great practical relevance, insights into successful open source projects, case studies as well as contributions to new developments and perspectives in the field of open source monitoring. Open Source experts Alba Ferri Fitó from Vodafone, Caleb Hailey from Sensu and Kris Buytaert from Inuits will be part of this year’s OMSC.

The conference traditionally begins with four intensive workshops on "Elastic Stack - Modern Logfile Management", "Icinga 2 - Distributed Monitoring", "Timeseries & Analysis with Graphite and Grafana" and "Ansible - Configuration Management".

For the conference program, influential representatives from the open source community have been acquired as speakers.

James Shubin of Red Hat presents his talk on the next generation of Config Mgmt, Holger Koch from DB Systel shows his monitoring concept for OpenShift based container platforms, and Michael Medin explains some NSClient ++ extensions. In addition, the talks from Graylog expert Jan Doberstein, Icinga team, Julien Pivotto (Inuits), Rihards Olups (Nokia) and Ronny Trommer (The Open NMS Group), as well as Walter Heck from OlinData will also be part of the program. The complete schuedule can be found on the new conference website at www.osmc.de as well as in the OSMC app.

The conference will conclude on November 24th with a hackathon on a huge variety of topics, which can also be proposed by the participants themselves.

As the world's leading conference on OS Monitoring, the OSMC has become a valuable event for the open source community. Annually, the OSMC counts more than 300 visitors and has been completely sold out in recent years.
