Sub-economic mineral resources always become inspiration to advance mineral processing technology. Limitations encountered by current extraction technology leave out idle sub-economic resources, which also turn into environmental problems. Fresh, bold and even out of the box approaches are necessary, not only to satisfy the increasing mineral demands but also to save the environment, which include recycle technology for sustainable and optimal use of wastes.

In order to address the big issues, Indonesian Institute of Sciences (Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia) as research authority in Indonesia in its golden anniversary, launch a new series of conference in Mineral Processing and Technology as forum to pitch ideas, insight and findings for optimal and sustainable use of sub-economic mineral resources, which topics include but not limited to:
