12th International Workshop on the Performance Analysis and Enhancement of Wireless Networks

    (PAEWN-2017)

    http://www.comp.brad.ac.uk/~iawan/PAEWN2017.htm

To be held in conjunction with the 31th IEEE AINA 2017 supported by IEEE Computer Society

    Tamkang University, Taipei, Taiwan,

    March 27-29, 2017

    Scope

Wireless communication along with mobile computing are becoming a necessity rather than a luxury, and with a wide range of application domains which include cloud computing, internet of things, wireless network-on-chip, wireless sensor networks, smart environments applied to health care, industry, multimedia applications and intelligent transport systems just to name few. This advancement in wireless and mobile technologies introduces new challenging requirements and issues for researchers.

The Performance Analysis and Enhancement of Wireless Networks (PAEWN-2017) will represent an international forum for researchers from both academia and industry to expose the latest trends, research findings, and emerging issues in wireless and mobile computing. This workshop will focus on the development and application of analytical modeling, simulation, prototype testbed, and measurement-based performance evaluation techniques to the area of wireless and mobile communication networks.

The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

̵ Modelling and simulation of cloud computing systems

̵ Energy management of Internet of Things

̵ Stochastic modelling and performance evaluation of wireless, sensor and mobile networks and devices

̵ Design and analysis of wireless networks and protocols

̵ Quality of Service provisioning in wireless/mobile systems

    ̵ Wireless/Mobile network architectures

    ̵ Wireless network-on-chip

̵ Resource and data management in mobile, wireless and ad hoc networks

̵ Security issues in mobile /wireless/ad-hoc networks

̵ Energy saving protocols for wireless/mobile/sensor networks

̵ Algorithms and modelling for tracking and locating mobileusers

̵ Admission control and congestion control protocols

̵ Evaluation of scalability and reliability in wireless/mobile networks

    ̵ Cross-layer design and optimization

̵ Traffic modelling in wireless/mobile systems

̵ Mobility management and handover issues

̵ Evaluation of medium access control and routing algorithms in wireless/mobile/ad-hoc networks

̵ Simulation models for optimization of scarce resources

̵ Integration of ad hoc and sensor networks with broadband wireless network infrastructures

̵ Performance case studies and industrial reports

̵ Evaluation of existing tools and techniques

̵ Improvement in system performance through optimization and tuning

̵ Case studies showing the role of evaluation in the design of systems

    Paper Preparation, Submission and Publication

Authors are invited to submit manuscripts reporting original unpublished research and recent developments in the topics related to the workshop. The length of the papers should not exceed 6 pages (Conference Publishing Services (CPS) Proceedings Manuscripts style: two columns, single-spaced), including figures and references, using 10 fonts, and number each page. Please visit the CPS Proceedings Author Guidelines at the following URL for detailed paper formatting instructions.
