    Call For Papers - CFP

    Call for Workshop

    The main goals of this course will be:

    1) to educate master students, at a high level in the field of Applied Mathematics and Nonlinear Phenomena (at the end a certificate will be handed over when the results are good).

    2) to select (in 2017 at most 5) excellent master students and lecturers to do a 4 years PHD program at the TU-Delft in The Netherlands in a so-called sandwich program. Scholarships are provided by the Indonesian government or universities (and some additional financial support from the TU Delft can be provided when necessary).

    There are two parts of content ;

    Part I: Types of second order equations; Initial boundary value problems; Fourier Series; Quasi-linear, first order partial differential equations; Waves and reflections of waves; Separation of variables; Sturm-Liouville problems; Parabolic, elliptic and hyperbolic equations; Maximum principle; Diffusion and heat transfort problems

    Part II: Boundary value problems; Delta functions and distributions; Green’s function for heat, wave and Laplace Equations; Fourier and laplace transform methods. Waves in two and three-dimension; Vibrations of membrance; Bessel functions; Shock waves; Maple practical work.
